Senior Electrical Engineer
Aerotek Energy Services is currently recruiting Senior Electrical Engineer for an engineering firm that designs, builds, operates, and maintains power transmission and distribution facilities and systems throughout the country.
Position: - Primary responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer include the collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering. - The qualified Senior Electrical Engineer will prepare and oversee the development of specifications, calculations (including load flow, short circuit, motor starting and relay settings) and drawings. - The qualified candidate must be familiar with inter-discipline interface on large projects. Specific experience performing DC equipment sizing, specifying and supporting procurement of batteries, chargers, and inverters is required.
Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - The candidate must possess 5-10 years experience in power or heavy industrial systems design. - The qualified Senior Electrical Engineer will demonstrate knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including a familiarity with electrical systems, grounding and protection for large industrial facilities and/or power plants. - Must have working knowledge of NEC and be familiar with applicable IEEE and other industry standards. - PE License preferred. EPC experience a plus.
This position is full-time, salaried-exempt and is located in Charlotte, NC. Based on experience, salary will range from $85,000-$105,000. This position includes full benefits as well.
