HV Partial Discharge Technician
Aerotek Energy Services is currently seeking a Electrical Test Technician in Anaheim, California.
Requirements:
Proficiency with partial discharge testing.
5-7+ years experience in the electrical testing industry, including direct experience in medium and high voltage circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation protection and controls testing. The individual must be familiar with necessary test equipment.
Qualified candidates should have knowledge of:
- Partial Discharge Testing
- Switchgears and switchboards
- Transformers (dry and Liquid filled)
- Cables (low, medium and high voltage)
- Metal-enclosed busways
- Switches (air, oil, vacuum SF6 switches)
- Circuit Breakers (low (480v-5kv), medium(12kv-38kv) and high voltages(38kv-500kv))
- Protective relays
- Grounding systems
- Ground fault protection systems
- Instrument transformers
- Motors and motor controls
